Simple. Got through TSA quickly. Every thing was clean and everyone was pleasant. Some of the best airport restaurants in the country
Taking off this morning after a snow two days before was frustrating. The temperature was very cold for the area. But there were planes full of people, all who made it to the airport, waiting for hours on ground crew operations who apperantly couldn't make it. Equipment not working and just an embarrassing display. RDU is doing a lot to upgrade its facilities and doing a nice job there. It feels like ground crew operations and general operation logistics need to catch up for RDU to continue to attract more flights.
Tend to fly east from RDU. Parking deck is open, lines move quickly and staff is helpful!
Finally, someone has realized that 8' high ceilings are not appropriate for public space. RDU is, as airports go, a truly beautiful public space.
