R-Place Family Restaurant is very good!!! One of the best places we've been to in a long time!! Bakery was yummy and the atmosphere is unusual but great! At times the service is a little slower but the friendliness makes up for the slower pace.
Great Breakfast! R-Place is pretty much what you would expect from the outside. A place to get a quick "home cooked" meal on the road. They have great breakfast any time of the day! It is clean and has some interesting decor, plus a full gas station/truck stop/store all in one!
surprising find; good food, nice gift shop This looks like a truck stop from the road, but we discovered the restaurant inside is very nice, has a large all day menu, and an old fashioned feel. They have a great salad bar, and WONDERFUL desserts, which are also available to go at a counter in the front. The gift shop (another surprise) has quaint and useful items, and had affordable prices. More than a restaurant...a nice place to stop on your travels. Right off I80. Recommend.
Great bakery! Very unexpected from a truck stop. They have great food, and a very good bakery. On the weekends you usually have to wait for a table and they just have you wait in line as it is very casual. Lots of decorations and fun things to look at while you eat.
Nostalgic dining experience The booth table tops at R-Place are really cool. Each tabletop is actually a shadow box that displays all kinds of nostalgic items. The service is usually pretty good and the food is good too, but overall, I think it is a little overpriced.
