Dr. Purvis is extremely knowledgeable in detecting and treating skin cancers. He has treated me for three skin cancers on my face, ear and nose and performed excellent surgery each time.
Dr Purvis and his organization run a great practice, appointments are always timely, he spends time explaining everything, his staff is well trained & personable, overall it is a great practice. I had to wait 6-7 months to get in as a new patient, so plan ahead… Once in as a regular patient things move quickly, and appointment scheduling is a breeze.
While staying in Myrtle Beach for the winter, a skin tag on my eye lid became swollen and sore. After checking to see what doctors were covered under my insurance and checking online reviews, I made an appointment with Dr. Purvis. The appointment was on time, everyone in the office was helpful and pleasant. Dr. Purvis removed numerous skin tags from both eye lids and performed an overall exam. I met Dr. Purvis while he was teaching residents at MUSC and I was a patient in the dermatology clinic. I was so impressed with his knowledge and his willingness to go above and beyond to make a diagnosis of my chronic skin condition. It turned out to be a very rare autoimmune disorder in which he was able to prescribe various treatments and medications. The whole staff was super nice and the dr Purvis took his time listening to what I had going on and tried his best to help me! Anytime I had any questions or concerns they got back to me and answered all my questions! Would highly recommend!
Numerous pre-cancerous removals with minimal or no scaring !
I hav been seeing Dr. Purvis for many years and I am extremely satisfied with how he has helped keep me cancer free and the services he provides. Dr. Purvis is profession and listens to the concerns I have. I think of him as my doctor as well as a friend. I will have him as my doctor as long as he is in practice.
