Goodbye Pure Bliss – Why cant things ever stay the same? I was just getting used to Pure Bliss when its time to find somewhere new. Asuo, you are the best. Asuo is a uniquely amazing masseur – I'm not giving the SPA 5 stars, bc the lady who manages it is VERY crabby and even rude. Her own very apparent stress level is contagious. BUT Asuo is an AMAZING massuer and I will never go anywhere else again. I'm a dancer and have had countless almost irritating massages bc they do not meet the needs of deep pains and knots in, for instance, a hip joint area or seemingly underneath your shoulder blade. great massage not long enough!! – I went to pure bliss during spa week and decided to get a massage and facial. I had booked my reservation more than a month in advanced so I did not expect to wait for for more than a half an hour when I got there to be seen. My massage was great but she did not give me the full hour that I had paid for. Then they left me in that vibrating heated bed for 40 minutes. WONDERFUL – This place is AWESOME! The people were so nice! I was nervous about having a masseur (male), but Asou was PHENOMENAL!!!!! The experience at Pure Bliss was worth every red cent!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Asou: best massage therapist – I spent two years living in Philadelphia, and tried out my share of spas there. I popped into Pure Bliss on a whim during a business visit back to Philly -- and the staff was able to accommodate me on the spot. Surely lucky -- I certainly recommend an appointment -- but it goes to show the spa's attitude toward customer service. Best message in the city – One more compliment for Asou, one of the best message therapists that I've been treated by. I've also had tons of messages, mostly in Europe, and this guy is one of the best. Really recommend him highly. Great! Go!
Best massages by Asou – He (yes, masseur, not masseuse) gives the best feel-good massages ever (and I've gotten massages in China as well as the US). Some masseurs/masseuses are more therapy-oriented and therefore focus more on the technicalities, but Asou gives the best feeling massages. I got his full-body massage, and that was $70 well-spent. He's very conversational though so make sure you tell him you want peace and quiet if relaxation is what you are going for.
Excellent Service – Had integrated massage and pure bliss hand/foot massage during spa week. The integrated massage was wonderful. My therapist Asou really knows his stuff! I have a lot of tension in my neck and also tendonitis in my ankle. Although he couldn't get all the knots out in one session, he certainly relieved a lot of tension in my neck and my ankle feels great.
