History Established in 2014. Owner Michelle Garcia Davidson was first introduced to Pure Barre during a wedding weekend in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. I was surprised by the level of intensity obtained through the low-impact technique and the muscles targeted. I immediately fell in love with Pure Barre. Upon returning home, Michelle was surprised and disappointed to find that the Washington, DC area did not yet have a Pure Barre studio.
