Opened in 1771 by Colonel Ebenezer Crafts, the Publick House Historic Inn offers a charming and historical stay. The inn was used during the American Revolution as a training ground for soldiers and rumor has it that George Washington even stopped by. In fact, Publick House has always been an inn and restaurant except during World War II when it was used by the army. Very cozy love the country feel!!
We didn’t have tv because the cable wasn’t working but we were able to watch tv on my Kindle instead. We had trouble with the first set of card keys but they were promptly replaced by staff. The staff was great, very helpful. The room was clean and spacious and very quiet.
Quaint place that takes you back to a simplier time , with excellent food
My husband and I were married on 12/31/19 in Sturbridge. We needed a last minute venue for a very small reception after the ceremony. Amber went above and beyond to help us book the ballroom. She even had special menus printed to celebrate our special day. We are beyond thankful. They food was delicious and the space was exactly what we wanted. Thank you!
