My book club went to Public last night, and it was great! It definitely has nice pub atmosphere, and everyone liked their food. I had the smoked chicken pot pie, and others at the table ordered the Brie-nini, the bison burger sliders, and the brisket sliders. No one was disappointed! The staff was attentive, and it might have my favorite atmosphere of anywhere in town. I'll definitely be returning!
Nice atmosphere. Had the grilled cheese and tomato soup. Why would you make a grilled chz with cheddar & another oily chz that doesn't melt. Soup was gritty with a bad metal taste. Not good at all. I ordered a drink 2 times and never got it. I really wanted to like the place, disappointed. My husband's brisket tacos were just ok.
First timer! Fun, casual atmosphere. Public should be a great gathering place for people after work. We enjoyed the pickles, salami and smoked cheese appetizers. For entrees we recommend the Farmer's Cobb salad and the Brisquet Tacos. An unusual little twist that represents the atmosphere and attitude of Public is the way the check was presented at the end of the meal - instead of the typical plastic Discover Card portfolio the check was inside an old book.
Good food, awesome atmosphere, wish beer selection was bigger. Staff beer knowledge isn't the best
Wow it looks and tastes great!. I have been there to eat a few times now and really love the atmosphere and the food. Also not to be overlooked is the beer selection. If you love craft beer like I do, they really know what they are doing. The brisket and bleu cheese pizza is great. Everything is made in the restaurant with local meats and breads including the "Wichita Wings" smoked chicken wings and amazing BBQ sauce. These are not your ordinary chicken wings. Well worth visiting!
WAY TO GO!. Just had a private Birthday Party at Brick Yard, last weekend, for 30 close friends and relatives. Incredible! The owners and staff were amazing, the accommodations were outstanding and the atmosphere could not have been more perfect for the night we had. We were inside, in a private area. The overhead door was open to the courtyard, where live music played. College games were playing on the big screen, where my guests were invited to relax in leather easy chairs. Our appetizers were set on our private bar, wit... read more
