BIG SHOUT OUT TO PSE&G. I phoned yesterday afternoon to report a large branch broken and lying on wires leading to our home. An employee came out to asses within two hours and this morning a tree cutting crew came, successfully removing the branch without taking down the wire. Not an easy feat. Done well, timely and professionally.
PSEG really needs to be investigated for their handling of these power outages. No communication or outright lies. The house a block away get repairs on Thursday, we dont get them until today. Assessors not followed by repairs. Phone operators know nothing.
Clearly PSEG doesn't have a handle on where the power is out. They send out " power resolved messages" before the repairs are started. They must be using a computer based program, that skips over the individual calls and addresses.
We had a wire down called PSE&G they came out when they were available our service was not out but the wiring hanging low in driveway, a few days later they showed up serviced the wire and even reattached my down spot. I thought that was amazing what they did, kudos the team that showed up they were upbeat even though they are putting in 16 hour days. My wife and I want to personally thank the crew that came over as well as PSE&G for there professionalism

A tree grabbed the overhead wires in my driveway when it fell from the storm. If it gets windy, rainy or more snow, we're screwed. They are live wires!! Called PSEG 3x, the police, and DPW. I'd rather go without power for a week than to have this live electric wire right outside my window...

How do I talk to a live person about a claim? I went through the automated system but never got a response. PSE&G cut down an 80 year old tree in my yard without my permission (my husband was home. They could have knocked) in order to gain access to a pole that was down. I want reimbursed for my healthy, mature tree and I want PSE&G to pay to remove the tree and the stump.
