My brother was transported here from Guthrie Cortland on Monday 12/21/2020. Myself, and my family members, are highly disgusted with the administration here. I’m a nurse, and well aware of the pandemic, and of covid, however, I also know that rules can be bent for certain circumstances. My brother was a 41 year old man that was born disabled, with Spina Bifida. My mom was his power of attorney, health care proxy, and most importantly his biggest supporter. my poor uncle didn’t get too see anyone he cared about for the entire last week of his life. I’m disgusted that his mental comfort was the last of their concerns. They also told us there was nothing more they could do for him & that they’ve done all they could do. When my mom asked the nurses if they had run atleast 3 tests, they hadn’t. Horrible service. My wife went to the er after a recommendation from bettermed doctor. She has been having trouble breathing for a few weeks. ER doctor came in to the room and only used the stethoscope for diagnosis. He went by the information from bettermed and told us her problem was environmental. I questioned his diagnosis in a firm but respectful tone no cuss no fuss. He immediately left the room. 5 minutes later a Henrico police officer came to me for questioning.
