We are a bike shop, but we try to be more than that. The most important thing to us is that you get on a bike and ride to your heart’s content. We want to make sure you get on the best bike for you. Thursday nights we’re open late. Come over for food, drinks, and conversation! We have comfortable couches and a charming staff. Most of all, we have really cool customers. Come in and meet them: recreational cyclists, roadies, commuters, mountain bikers, cyclocross racers, fixed-gear fans and everyone in between.

Proteus will be, from now on, my go to place. John was SUPER helpful and never made me feel like the utter noob that I am. I would point to expensive pedals, "What about these?" John easily could have sold them to me, but instead urged me to try out solid, but cheaper pedals until I figure out what's right for me. When it's time to upgrade, I will definitely be back. A+ for customer service.
I very much enjoyed selecting and purchasing a bicycle today from Proteus Bicycles! Paul (I hope I remembered your name) thanks for swapping out pedals on four different bikes. Riding in my shoes on my pedals removes the nagging "but my pedals are different" doubtful thoughts. The fitting tech guy Ben (I hope I got that right too) dialed in the seat post height.
