Hired Professor Plumb to do a shower floor with a linear drain. The slope came out wrong. The slope might work for a regular drain but not for a linear drain. The linear drain is also set too high so that when the tiles are put in the water will not drain. The linear drain was not straight. When I called them to fix these things, they said they will come out but never did. That went on for 3 times saying that they will come out and never show up. They ripped us off for almost $2,000

We moved the drain and sloped the floor correctly. You said you would take it from there and set the tile yourself. We have installed a thousand shower pans and drains for tile setters and never had a problem. Why? Because they do the final sloping adjustments with the tile thinset or mortar. You said the drain was too high, that should have been your starting point. You should have hired a professional tile setter to install the shower floor, it is not as easy as installing wall or floor tile.

It wasn't the work he did that I have a problem with. It was the attitude. I was also told a different price over the phone than I was actually charged.
