I would tell all her patients to find another psychiatrist. I don’t think anyone would be worse then “Dr” Sahgal
Dr Saghal is an excellent psychiatrist. I was a patient from 2010 until April 2017 and I saw her at least 3 times a month - sometimes more. She is very perceptive and caring. I agree wait times were usually over 45 minutes but it is hard to schedule how long patients will need if they need to talk things out. The office staff in her former office were not the friendliest. She moved recently and her new office staff are very friendly and cordial. If she accepted Medicare I'd still be a patient.
As much as I appreciate that she is not a pill pusher and eases you onto medications slowly, SHE IS NOT PUNCTUAL AT ALL. Not just a few times.. EVERY time I've had an appointment with her, I've had to wait at LEAST an hour even when I was one of her first appointments in the morning. Apparently Starbucks is more of a priority than being on time for patients. Don't be surprised if her office cancels your appointment an HOUR before it was scheduled for. She doesn't seem to care people have jobs.
Dr Sahgal was 1 hour and 15 minutes late for my 1pm appointment that I drove in from Cypress for. There was no attempt to advise the other 4 patients nor me as to the length of time the dr was behind. I didn't feel comfortable having dr Sahgal manage my mental health questions as she displayed an inability to manage her own professional schedule. I got a refund and left.
Dr. Sahgal has completely changed my life!!! I highly recommend her, ESPECIALLY if you haven't resolved your issues with prior doctors. Dr. Sahgal is extremely thorough, patient, knowledgeable, understanding, and compassionate, therefore, she truly cares about her patiences more so than anyone I have ever seen in the past. Her accuracy in diagnosis and treatment is uncanny. She takes her time with every patient to ensure the best treatment. I truly CAN NOT imagine my life without her!
I am very happy with Dr. Sahgal. She is treating my son for anxiety and ADHD. I like that she listens to me and that she communicates with my son's psychologist to figure out the best way to treat him.
Best psychiatrist I have ever seen. So happy I found her. She's not the most warm fuzzy person but she was able to accurately diagnose me and give me the correct meds when dozens of other doctors over the years could not.
She actually listens. She treats you like a real person who needs help and then evaluates you.
