The service was terrible and the food was just as bad! We didn't even eat the food! They added beverages to our ticket even though we only had water. It took forever and a day to get our food, our water and ticket! We won't be returning! Sad because I use to always come here as a kid and it was my husbands first time!
We been going to potato patch since the old location. The service has always been good but the quality of the food has gone down. The last 2 times I have been have been very terrible. Last time I went I ordered the chicken fried chicken and they brought me out a chicken fried steak the people next to us they did the same to. It took the awhile to fix my meal. I really wasn't feeling it with the service this time. Usually we have great service and surrounded by happy workers. Drinks weren't refilled often and we waited a very long time for our food. Its my sons' favorite place to eat on his Birthday. The porkchops were overcooked.
There were 3 of us. The food was plentiful and excellent. The Fried Okra and Green Tomatoes, which are complementary, were wonderful. And of course, we can't leave out the rolls and muffins. We had a fabulous waitress and the service was great! I read some of the other reviews and totally do not agree. I live on Lake Conroe and make a special trip just to go there!

This place used to be so good! But slowly over the years the quality has gotten worse. They used to have the best fried green tomatoes but not they slice them so thin it's just super greasy and gross. I do miss the unlimited okra and fried green tomatoes that they used to offer but understand why they had to do away with it. The last couple of times I have gone the food has been over greasy and just gross. It sad when I was younger this was my favorite place to go, now it's just like every other mediocre home style kitchen.
Fun environment and great food..love catching the rolls.

Please don't waste your time or money. Went there with my brother and sisters for our monthly get together. Once we were seated, the waitress brought the Fried Okra and green tomatoes, we asked for the ranch dipping sauce and butter. This we had to do each time we could get a glimpse of her in passing. Finally we got some butter from the girl that brought the rolls. Our waitress, after an additional 10 minutes did bring additional butter, but still no ranch dipping dressing.
