Founded in 2011, Portside is a locally owned and operated small batch producer of hand crafted beer and spirits. Our Brewery and Distillery and Pub, overlooks Lake Erie in Downtown Cleveland’s East Bank of the Flats. We are northeast Ohio’s first brewery and distillery, and we pride ourselves on providing unique experiences in our pub as well as through tours, tastings and private events. Portside Distillery is a nice place and great additition to Cleveland. However my experience was ruined by our server. He seemed totally lost. He asked for everyone's credit cards even though most of us were paying cash. He spilled a glass of ice water on myself and my friend, accidents do happen. Then when we said we were ready to pay he went back and forth from our table to the register and brought each bill, there were 11 of us, back one at a time. We hold our staff to a high standard and will continue to train them to take great care of all guests. As an owner of a similar establishment, you can understand when a server is having an off night. Great atmosphere, great food, and great beer. Especially their No. 7. If you have not been there, you don't know what you are missing.
