Portland Veterinary Hospital is absolutely wonderful. Their staff is caring, thorough, and you never feel as though they are trying to upsell you on anything you don’t need. Prices are reasonable. Just an overall great Veterinarian’s office. Highly recommend!
Very kind, caring, and compassionate. They offer a variety of treatment options to work out what's best for both one's pet and one's family. I never feel they are in a rush to get thru the appointment just to get onto the next. Excellent follow-up with phone calls to make sure treatment is going well.

Ive been using Portland Vet for about two years now. I've always told people how great they are and how caring they are. And yesterday they went above and beyond for me, yesterday I had to make one of the hardest decisions, I had to put my dog down. from the moment John walked into the room I knew it was the right thing to do, I could see it in his face. Drs. Jon and Christine Gustavson (and now Dr. Danby) have all provided wonderful care for our pets, and there's no place I'd rather put my trust into our pet care than Portland Veterinary Hospital. Many other places have scary aggressive approaches to "care" that take extreme measures, but not here. They are patient, honest, detailed, and take a minimally-invasive "wait and see" approach when possible, which builds trust with their customers. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trusted practice in pet care.
