Port of Call

4.5

About this business

This cozy little spot is the place to come when you just need a burger. Its small size is made even smaller by the influx of hungry folks looking for lunch. After 7p when the business crowds disperse the restaurant is not quite as crowded. Locals have announced the hamburgers to be the best in town. They are served with a baked potato if their large size is not enough to fill you. The attentive staff at Port of Call also serves pizzas, filet mignon, rib eye steak and New York strip.

I've been coming to 'Port of Call' for 21 years and it NEVER disappoints ... in fact, as a someone who travels quite often for business, it is the first place I visit upon my return (and often the last place I visit prior to my departure) ... If you ever find yourself in New Orleans, do yourself a favour ... stop by, pull up a barstool and let Greta, Jeremy or Holly show you why this is without a doubt my favourite restaurant in the world ... you can thank me later! Cheers, -asl

Jazz Brunch at Commander's Palace is a hard act to follow, but after five hours we hitched an Uber to Port of Call, where a great cheeseburger, baked potato w/the works and a huge Barq's root beer hit the spot. We will be back there.

Best burger in the city...hands down...plus they have the ever so sneaky monsoons...buzz in a cup minus the burn which is cleverly hidden in a perfectly blended fruit juice concoction fit for the gods...excellence

Great burgers and the mansoon is great. Waiting was not a problem since we went during a weekday.

My wife and daughter can get selective about the burgers they eat but they had no problem with the burgers here. They loved it and said it was the best burgers they've had. That's significant, burgers are one of our staple food groups! It's going to be sad when we go home and have to settle for the burgers there. 😢
