Since 1953, The Port Drive-In has been serving hot dogs and frosty mugs of creamy, old-fashioned root beer. Originally called Studman’s, it was purchased in 1957 by Elsie & Virgil Gassoway, renamed the Snack Shack, and then renamed to its current name, The Port. In 1978, Terry & Beth Gassoway purchased the business from Terry’s parents after managing it for them for several years. The turkey chili was anazing!! Kept me warm during a football game I went to for my son!always love this place !!!!
My awesome friend/work buddy sarah and I came here as her birthday treat to me! Thank you Sarah!!!! That was lunch..... much yumm. Well guess what? I'm back at dinner haha. They have a gazillion milkshake flavors!!! Yassss!

Really upsetting that my family just sat and none of the car hops waited on us. 4 girls walked past my vehicle and nothing. I would be more understanding if they were packed full of cars but not in this case. They acted like we were invisible. Now I have a very upset 10 yr old little boy who had his little heart set on the Root Beer Stand for lunch.
Food is good and the service is good. The place could use some updating.
Stopped in on our way from Chicago. Best fried chicken ever!
