Terrible co-op that used COVID-19 to weasel out of providing it's rural customers with desperately needed internet access. Completely ignored the wishes of their members to take a secret vote to do what we all knew they were going to do from the beginning. Board members should be ashamed of themselves.
I am furious over the no vote for broadband. It is our right as paying customers to know how the board voted!!!!
I can validate Joseph Fava in his opinion. I run a small tech startup in addition to attending school and working in Programming and Software Design mostly from home. I was holding out in hopes that PEPA might bring a solution to my increasing need for better internet access. As of today, however, I am now weighing my options and looking for a new home where the services I need are already available.
We need internet. All they care is the almighty dollar. I think we all should install alternative power sources like wind or solar make them pay us!
It’s a crying shame we cannot get internet service when the “board members” have fast reliable internet service and the ones is us that have kids that need internet to do schoolwork suffer because PEPA is 50 years in the past!!!!!
PEPA had the opportunity to bring this part of the state up to speed with the tools needed to expand and conduct business in today’s market with broadband internet services in rural parts of Pontotoc and surrounding counties, but you failed to do that. I will not be voting for the incumbent board member for my district this next election cycle unless something changes.
RecommendedPower and service is good.... but the decision to not do broadband is unheard of, our county wanted and needed it!!!!
It's a shame that their board is so uneducated and clueless about technology. Fiber internet is greatly needed in Pontotoc county and they did a great disservice to the community by voting against it.
