RecommendedThis place came recommended by a friend who used to live on James Island. It definitely didn’t disappoint! I got The Sleeper with roasted garlic blue cheese and buffalo shrimp on top and onion straws as my side. Absolutely delicious! This is coming from someone who doesn’t really like blue cheese. They certainly know how to make a spectacular burger! To top it all, the service was exceptional! The atmosphere was pretty cool as well!
This was my husband and I first time trying the restaurant, so many of our friends love this place.......... BUT! We had a party of 8 and after waiting 30 mins they wanted to sit us at the only table w out a umbrella in the direct sun so we opted to wait , a hour and 15 min later, we still haven’t been sat and they tell us we have to wait for the computer to give us availability, the hostess were very rude and too busy looking at their phones instead of doing their job. We legit traveled from Georgia just to eat here. Me being the Poe fan that I am, wanted to come check it out. when we arrived today, they said we would have to wait a bit and we had no issues because of course we were too excited. so when I walked in to grab a drink a wait, I was treated like the plague. I'm not even joking , both people dining and working kept shooting glares and daggers and at the bar I was ignored and overlooked so I left and canceled our spot. Had lunch there Memorial Day...we only waited for maybe 45 mins and I would have waited another 2 hours just for that burger. Best burger around hands down! Service was excellent and the staff was hustling the entire time. If you haven't been...then you're doing something wrong. Thanks Poe's...you never disappoint!!
