Staff is rude, especially the bar. Shame on you if you ask for a little accommodation while outside on the deck.

Some friends and I were down that way to celebrate a birthday earlier this month and I was told great things about Poe's prior to the trip. I was not disappointed. The service was phenomenal for the place being as busy as it was around dinner time, everything was cooked perfectly, and the Hop Frog is honestly the best burger I've ever had. My only gripe about my time here was that I needed a can opener to get out of the tiny bathroom, but that's besides the point. Whenever I head back to the coast, Poe's is a definite must.

I have visited Poe's numerous times. However I have found the customer service declining greatly over time. Just recently I had a 5 lb pug puppy. I began to ask the host if it was okay to have her on the deck since it was 40° and windy . I was cut off 2x before finishing my sentence. Then he stated "well sucks but that's the rules." I understand if that is the rules. But how you treat people matters too. This is my go to spot when at Sullivan's Island, service and food are usually good but have had a couple of bad experiences. Still worth going to for the atmosphere!
