Worst Mortgage refi service ever. Totally inept underwriting service . I am an existing mortgage holder , went through Kimberly S******* for a refi, should have been an easy process. It has been 10 months and still the refi is languishing. They cannot keep any competent staff and each new staff, keep asking for the same information. Highly regret not going through one of the nimble online mortgage providers. Big banks like PNC will die off like Dinosaurs just from bad customer service.

Business response:

PNC takes our customer’s concerns very seriously. We will be working privately with our customer to resolve this matter.

I would like to set up a PNC checking account and even though I have a high credit score I was denied an account. After reviewing a report on why from PNC's partner (Early Warning Service), it was clear that the service PNC uses doesn't have visibility into the institutions I have assets with (so it appears that I have 0 assets). I've tried to escalate various ways to get an exception and have gotten nowhere. This is super frustrating. PNC should use another partner for credit check and/or have an exception process to make u... read more

I am trying to close a refinance for a client who has PNC Bank as their servicer and the company refuses to issue us a payoff. We have faxed the number given for WEEKS with no response, despite the "48 hour turnaround" quoted by the automated system. We have yet to get any individual on the phone for the last 2 months, and it has cost the client THOUSANDS of dollars. PNC should be embarrassed at this point, if providing a simple payoff takes over a month. If your loan is serviced by this company then you're in trouble.

I was just told by one of the customer agents regarding a question to "google it." I feel less comfortable doing business with this bank now.

The worst bank I’ve ever dealt with. I requested a mortgage loan payoff and they said they would fax it. I gave them two fax numbers(who does faxes anymore anyway), they did not go through. They also said they would send it in the mail. Three weeks later...NOTHING. Why can’t they email this? Grrrr. Their phone service and options are a joke that takes you in circles. I have an escort account that PNC as supposed to send my hazard insurance from and PNC never paid it and my insurance lapsed. They claim they never got our insu... read more

I had been trying since the 19th to open an account with them. Though I had never heard of them, I decided to give them a try since they are backed by BBVA and they offered free Business Checking.I worked in banking for 8 years and I know that they shouldn't be making assumptions when a person provides the information requested. I do understand that at times additional verification may be required but when it is and it is then backed by valid evidence, what is there left to assume? Therefore I sent the following email this e... read more

Paid my auto loan off. Throughout the time I have had this account, there have been charges that I am uncertain exactly what they were and how, but I assumed it had something to do with interest. However, now I am not so sure. Was assured by two different representatives that I spoke with that day that it was an easy, hassle-free process. From what the first representative told me changed to the second. I was assured that my account would be closed and I would have my title in hand within 10 business days. When I called to c... read more

Terrible company. Trying to buy a house and the previous buyers Loan did not go through. The sellers accepted our offer but now we can not start our Loan because PNC Mortage will not do there job and cancel the previous buyers Loan. My wife used PNC to buy her home before we got married and they were awful to work with then. I recommend to go anywhere other than this bank. Worst company to ever work with on a loan!!!!
