PNC pulled money out of my checking account from another bank. I have a savings account with PNC and wanted to use those funds to make my auto payment which is also with PNC. I could not make the payment online because my account was "inactive?" I don't understand that one at all. I had the money times four to cover the payment. I spoke with at least five different people and nobody could tell me why I couldn't make the payment. I had Terrible experience with this local branch near me on Forest Hill and Kirk. I deposit a check late which I have done before I find out the check was bad after I took the money out I immediately gave the money back and they will not give me my money from my job. They are refusing to speak with me to help me in any way. This is by far our worst experience with mortgage lenders. Unprofessional from the start, no one knows what they are doing, they scrambled to put the mortgage together, back and forth with many people who didn't know what was going on, and finally had us close and sign up for a certain monthly payment. We asked repeatedly at the closing, if this payment included absolutely everything and the answer was a solid YES from PNC bank reps. A year later - surprise! - an escrow shortage of 10K. Shopping for a mortgage? GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Started their awful process to try to get out of a property I hadn't lived in and couldn't sell for 10yrs. GRUELLING PROCESS - then, they closed out my account - a huge list of "you don't qualify for ... " then "You have exhausted too many options ..." They did open a new account (so i could try to comply with every tedious request again.) My mortgage was sold to PNC, which makes my frustrations even greater. I purchased my house in march 2016 and worked very hard to pay off 20% throughout the next year. I requested PMI to be removed. I paid the 500 dollars and was forced to use an appraisal company with horrible reviews and ties to PNC. Also I had one check they submitted for payment three times. I missed a line of credit payment due to not receiving the bill on time. I was notified via mail about this from PNC. As soon as I received the letter I call their 800 customer service number to get it resolved. They couldn't help me so I had to go to a branch. I went to the first branch where I wrote a check for the missed payment but they said they couldn't do anything about the fees without a manager approval. I have my auto loan through PNC. I pay half my car payment bi-weekly as I get paid, and sometimes over pay just in case something happens so I have a "cushion". Every other car loan I've ever had just applies the overage to the next month's payment automatically. Last month I noticed it looked like my account was past due (which I knew it was not and i had overpaid as usual).
