While I have been an avid fan of Plum Tree Inn for about 25 yrs, we held our monthly dinner meeting for the Los Angeles Escrow Association here. They went above and beyond. Elaine running the ship and Tony (my favorite waiter) accommodated each and every bizarre request and special need that popped up, including having their staff take the podium they use to greet customers / store the menus and put it in our private room! The service, food, and ambiance were all excellent. I don't know what some of the reviewers on Yelp were whining about.
Food was thumbs up 👍. Some dishes were way too salt.
Garlic shrimp is the best. Great service. Free parking.
Most dishes are good, except for the roasted duck. Too dry for my tasted. Mu-shu pork was my favorite. The restaurant should have sriracha sauce for chow fun. The price is kinda high comparing to most restaurants in China Town, but I like the service and the valet parking.
