Today, my sisters and I went in to Plato's Closet North Charleston to shop for clothes to replace the ones they lost in the Ibis Glade Fire on Wednesday. My youngest sister was left with literally nothing as we were unable to salvage anything from her room. If you bring a basket/bin/bag that you actually want back, don't waste your time bringing it here. If you have clothes that you might even remotely care about and want back if they don't buy it, don't bring it here. Why? Because they let people leave with THEIR basket, YOUR basket, THEIR clothes, YOUR clothes. Then offer a $5 off coupon for your troubles which doesn't even cover the cost of the clothes they didn't buy. I have personally been in here several times. I have been lots to sell my clothes although I have come to find out it's not worth it. They don't pay you that much and I have found an app where I come up with the price I want to make on the item and people will purchase it. I love that way more. So much easier than taking buckets to platos and them not even looking through it all to only get $12 Today I go in to just buy some clothes. Well me I can't just buy them I have to try them on. I took in jeans from Hollister, Aeropostale, and Rue 21 among many other tshirts and blouses from the same stores. I was told that the clothing was "too adult" and they were not willing to buy any of it. The clothing was in great condition as well and not to mention they actually sell all of the brands I was bringing in. Not a fan at all. Goodwill received some great pieces of clothing that day!
