I live a block away from plate21. They built a really cool biggby right down the street but I only go to it if I am with someone because my 2year daughter can run around and its huge never busy. But i rarely go for coffee with a friend. However i Do go to plate21 not just because its awesome and there drinks are great (my new favorite matcha frappe blended drink Addicting!)but being from California the style and decor makes me think of coffee shops back home in Oceanside California. My daughter and I were in the area for The Elton John concert! We stopped in here and it was Amazing! I loved the Mexican hot chocolate!

Great spot to get coffee and a snack. One of favorite coffee shops in Toledo.
I was very upset today when the owners son Ben approached a customer that had her service dog with her and told her she had to leave that it was against the Health Department laws and she tried to explain to him and he Argued with her and said it was his rules. Well Health Department was called and HE IS WRONG!!!!! Due to his rudeness on how re treated this customer I will not will not go back and will let everyone I know aware of this situation! Shame on him and he owes that Lady A BIG APOLOGIZE!!!!!😡😡
I have been to this location on several occasions. Every time I have asked for a cup for HERE and no straw. The baristas have never honored that request. It’s extremely frustrating. A coffee shop should not be putting straws in drinks for their patrons anyways.
