I accompanied my sister today for her implant removal, and while the front desk staff was absolutely incredible—warm, welcoming, and professional—the experience with the nurse/doctor, Kim, was disappointing. My sister expressed that she was nervous and scared, but Kim appeared rushed, insensitive, and dismissive throughout the procedure. Not only were the staff the absolute sweetest, they got me in so fast!! I talked to my gyno back in November about getting nexplanon. It went NOWHERE, and given the state of the world I felt I was in a rush to beat restrictive reproductive laws. I was able to schedule an appointment with less than a month notice, come in, be treated super amazingly, and get my implant. All in less than 25 minutes! My experience at Planned Parenthood on Tennessee Street today was disappointing. As a newcomer to Florida, I have been working to build relationships with local community to include healthcare providers, and I went in for a routine check-up, a practice I prioritize for my well-being.
