I’ve been a Planet Fitness member for over two years and have been coming to this Halifax location for about two months. Today was my first bad experience. I scanned my QR code at the left scanner, also say Hi to the staff at the left. But two other front desk staffs simply told me “you didn’t scan”. I explained I already scanned. Gets too crowded during peak hours. And during summer period, even non-peak hours gets crowded with people ganging up on a machine standing and chatting around. Do get frustrating

If Planet Fitness expects their weights to be silent they should add padding to them. On a room full of people slamming weights and grunting, you choose to call out the day old man for making too much noise? That's called wanting to feel important without confronting someone you find threatening. You don't make a place where everyone feels welcome by singling out and embarrassing people. Time to move on to a gym that doesn't make a point to embarrass their clients.

I have been going to Zym for the past two years, and overall, it’s a great place with excellent staff. However, new employees need better training in customer service and gym equipment knowledge. I recently had a negative experience with a new hire on June 16th at 7 AM; he was rude and unhelpful. He could benefit from improving his customer service skills. Zym - Mumford halifax
