My wife and I visited Norfolk and made a special stop in Suffolk on the way home to Rocky Mount, NC just to try The Plaid Turnip! We were NOT disappointed! It is nicely located downtown on Main St and the atmosphere was great! The food was amazing! Everything was fresh and delicious! People are not exaggerating when they say the portions are huge! I highly recommend this place!
First time, food was excellent, service was great, I would definitely go back.
Just left after wasting an hour going there for breakfast. Sat within view of the kitchen. Watched our country fried steak sit there for over twenty minutes (including getting knocked off the plate onto the counter, and put back on the plate), and pancakes sit out for over ten. We were then informed that our food would be out soon, but they were out of gravy for the steak. We just got up and left. Excellent food & service
Had the chocolate chip brownie with whip cream and chocolate syrup (on a warm plate) today and all I can say is OMG it was d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s. It's what's for lunch!!!!! Love The Plaid Turnip.
