The food is always good in my opinion but the service is not always great. We've eaten here quite a few times and I feel like it's always hit or miss, which is disappointing since you shouldn't feel that way when going to a restaurant. Another thing, how is it that you can be out of a breakfast item when you just opened 30 minutes prior? That baffles me. Wish the service would step it up then I would come here more often!
The food was great however the bathrooms were so bad that I chose not to go until I got home! Had I used the bathroom prior to eating I think I would have left!
This is a great local dive where you might just bump into a few local celebrities like Andy Damiani. Love Grace Anne & Whitney! Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day at The Plaid. Lots of great art to enjoy and the music is popping first thing.
The staff was very pleasant. The Sunday Brunch special was awesome! Highly recommend their yogurt,very nice. The fish basket was perfectly cooked. We also tried the Cobb salad, delicious. The pork omelette was very flavorful. The prices are resonable. We we definitely return when in Suffolk!!!

Their food is excellent. Simple menu but great food. I have had the mushroom Swiss burger which was excellent and the last time I had the country fried steak with the garlic mashed potatoes. Oh my gosh it is soooo good. Breakfast is also excellent. I cant say enough good things about the Plaid Turnip
