We Needed This in No Po! – Real pizza is just the beginning. Being somewhat spoiled by authentic Italian food, and disappointed by many attempts to find the "real" thing in Portland, I was thrilled to happen upon Pizza Fino. Not the covered in cheese and tasteless food you tend to find out here. This is all about the bouquet of spices and the marriage of the sauce. Keep it up. We'll be coming back for more!
The chicken is to die for – We Went there last Friday night , they have a new chef and a new menu, the food is outstanding. We had the chicken and the Polenta and as an appetizer a Beet Salad with Figs and Lemon cucumbers , The chicken is one of the best dishes I ever had in a restaurant and the Polenta was creamy and with the perfect balance of the sauce, sausage and cheese. The Beet salad simply perfect. The service was friendly but has some room for improvement, the server seems to not be familiar with the menu , but it w... read more
Totally Yummy! – Went on a date for dinner, loved the atmosphere, lighting, and stained glass. Candles were a good touch also. We shared a small pizza and had a few delicious cocktails. We found the menu to be very appetizing. The prices are up there, but we thought it was well worth it. The waiter was great, really friendly, and made some good suggestions with our order. If you have kids and want them to color, take them to laurelhurst! We will definitely be back soon! My only advice is to get some better patio furniture!
Good food, SLOW service. – Our first visit to Pizza Fino was a disappointment. We were seated right away, but waited almost an hour for our food. Not good since we were starving and had the kids with us. They don't even have any coloring for the kids. The party next to us was sitting there before us and got their food after us. The food was good, but not worth that wait. Plus, either the pasta portions are too small or the prices are too much. Don't expect to take left overs home. The wait staff was courteous, but not very a... read more
Pretty Damn Good – This place has a great menu. The pizza has the tasty crust familiar to those who have been to Bella Faccia. The gnocchi is amazing, definitely my favorite dish, I'm salivating now thinking about it. The reason I'm only giving it three stars is the pesto is really odd, and not in a good way. It's a gelatinous sauce with bits of dried basil in it. It doesn't taste disgusting but it doesn't have any garlic-y or basil taste to it either. The service is mostly friendly, but I went once at happy hour and felt li... read more
Lots of Vegetarian and Vegan options!! – I've been 3 times now, and 2 out of the 3 times were absolutely wonderful. The first time was on our anniversary, I was surprised at how low the prices were, they are the same as The Olive Garden if not less. And then we were so happy and surprised at how absolutely delicious everything we ate were. My husband and I couldn't stop commenting how you could taste each and every ingredient in the dish and how they were all so great. The wait staff were friendly and warm and the bill was v... read more
Amazing Food, My Favorite North Portland Secret!!! – I moved to the kenton neighborhood a few months ago and evey time I go to pizza fino it's great! My wife and I went there last night with some friends for dinner and even though it took a while to get our food it was well worth the wait. Our waiter was helpful and friendly making excellent recomendations and talking at length with me about some favorite local brews. I had the penne with sausage for myself and my wife ordered a delicious pizza they call "pocket aces." By th... read more
Highly Disappointing – When Pizza Fino first opened the food was amazing and we were very happy to have such a great local restaurant. We have eaten at there several times and each time the quality has declined. Tonight's meal has convinced us that we most likely won't return. The serving size has decreased, the food was flavorless, the salad dressing was tasteless and oily, and the pasta was not completely cooked. The environment is pleasant and the wait staff is friendly. Its ashame they could be consistent with the qualit... read more
Great carbo-loaded food but salads area bit lack luster. – Yes, this restaurant serves delicious pizza, calzone and eggplant rollatini in a nice environment however, if I am to frequent this restaurant more often, they'll need to add a few healthier items to the mix?currently their salads are lack-luster and I have to add side dishes to get veggies with my entree?making a mid week meal a bit too expensive. I'm hoping they will add a few more items so I can go more often.
