I grew up in Lawrence, MA, and enjoyed some very good "New England Greek" pizza. Most of the places I knew as a kid have long since closed. The few that remain have changed - the ingredients are different, especially the cheese. It's obvious how much local shops have cheapened out to stay in business at the expense of quality. And gone from all is the crunchy crust. I'm of the opinion that it's the sauce that makes a pizza, but it's more often than not the crust which can ruin it. We have eaten your pizza for years and it's always been great. Tonight, we ordered our pepperoni and onion pizza's and took them home. They appear to have gotten smaller & cheaper, there was more onion than anything else. There wasn't much for cheese, sauce or pepperoni, it really lacked flavor. The crust was really chewy, we are used to a crispier crust. We were not impressed this time, as a matter of fact it really was disappointing.
I always love the pizza! The crust is perfect. They only serve 1 size! It’s just a little bigger than a personal pan, so for an adult it’s great and for the kids they practically get two meals worth. The plain cheese is about $7, so totally worth it. The wait is a few more minutes than normal because of how fresh the pie is cooked. Again, totally worth it.
