Always a dependable place to take animals I've been taking pets there for almost twenty years and have always been satisfied with their professional services, their honesty in dealing with me and their reasonable charges. There has never been anything fancy or pretentious about this place so if you're looking for style and pizazz look elsewhere.
Terrific dog care! I've been taking my beagle to Pgh Animal Hospital since he was a puppy (11 years ago)! Dr. Young and the staff are terrific -- friendly and of course knowledgeable. They care a lot about my dog and have been able to take care of almost everything he needs. At one point he needed a specialist and they helped with the referral. I have no complaints!
Poor Customer Service We recently adopted a dog and I was researching veterinary hospitals in the area. I called Pittsburgh Animal Hospital to get some general information about their clinic. The woman that answered the phone was very rude. She seemed annoyed and answered my questions with yes or no answers only. She even hung up the phone without so much as saying goodbye. Needless to say I will not be taking our dog to the Pittsburgh Animal Hospital.
RE: Our Old English Sheepdog, Mollie I just love this animal clinic. Dr. Young is my normal vet who I just think is the greatest, but yesterday had Dr. Bender. My female OES needed her annual shots and also, her ears were infected. I had no idea to what degree and to make matters worse she had just been to the groomer. It appears that the groomer never cleaned out her ears. The fur was all lodged in her ear canal. The dog was shaking her head and very scared. Great cat place We had to take our cat here a while ago. I had completely forgoten about it until I drove past it the other day. They did a great job with our cat, he isn't the nicest cat to other people. However he was the best he has ever been at this vet.
