About this business

Since 1753, The Pirate's House has been welcoming visitors to Savannah with a bounty of delicious food and drink and rousing good times. Situated a scant block from the Savannah River, The Pirate's House first opened as an inn for seafarers, and fast became a rendezvous for blood-thirsty pirates and sailors from the Seven Seas. Here seamen drank their grog and discoursed, sailor fashion, on their exotic high seas adventures from Singapore to Bombay and from London to Port Said.

My daughter is going to be two and this is her favorite place to eat. The staff is always really nice and welcoming we try to go at least once a month.

We always stop by for the buffet, when we are in Savannah. It is consistently great. And I have never had better sweet potato casserole. The fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, and key lime pie are pretty big stars, too. We had a Savannah first timer with us this trip, so we did the Old Town Trolley, and having The Pirates House as a trolley stop was very convenient.

The food was absolutely delicious. The ribs were savory and fall off bone tender. The pecan fried chicken had a delicious sauce that was very sweet and crunchy. The shrimp scampi was also mouth watering. Our waiter, Terry, was knowledgeable and personable. He also had a great sense of humor.

This was our first time in Savannah & The Pirates House was the first place we ate. It was phenomenal! We ended up eating there twice during our 3-day stay. We had the lunch buffet both times & could not have been more pleased with both the selection & the quality of the food. Our waitresses, Margot & Allie, were both extremely attentive and pleasant. We will definitely stop by here again on our next trip to Savannah.

Our party of five ate here and it was wonderful. The waiter was delightful and entertaining as he served. The food was fantastic! The shrimp and grits was the perfect blend of smooth and spicy with plump shrimp. Another member of our party had the pecan crusted chicken and it was enough for two people! The sweet and savory of the combination on the fried chicken is a perfect combo. We enjoyed our dinner and will definetly be returning.
