Pirates Cove! I currently live in Pirates Cove, and reading posts from other people...I have NO IDEA what they are talking about! Seriously. They just renovated EVERYTHING, the gym, the clubhouse, and gave us new leather furniture! And the tanning beds work fine, because me and my roommates tan! The staff is very helpful and nice, and the price is affordable. A lot of the apts including mine, got new carpet and paint over the past summer. Oh, and the gym is now VERY VERY NICE! :) :) I recommend living here definitely!
All around great place to live! I live at Pirate's Cove and I would recommend this apartment complex to my friends. The price is very affordable and everything is included. They recently renovated the fitness center and I love to use it now! It is just as good as the ECU rec center, but right at my apartment. Won't be living here again BUGS, BURGLARY, AND BLACKS. 3 of the most common things at Pirates Cove. We have had about 10 gigantic roaches in our apartment. After calling maintenance they said the bugs were drawn toward sweet smelling rooms and there was nothing they could do. My car was broken into twice in broad daylight already after only living here 3 months. The amount of sketchy black people here is crazy. There is so much gang activity it is VERY scary. DONT LIVE HERE I have lived in Pirates Cove for just this year and unfortunately have to stay for the summer as well. The show room for the apartment is very nice but when i moved into mine it was disgusting. There were bugs throughout the apartment and outside. All of the living room furniture is broken and torn apart. There are always atleast 10 roaches outside on our porch and atleast 2 or 3 in the living room. UGGHHH!!! Pirates Cove I just moved out of Pirates Cove and I feel as if that was the best thing i have done in a long time. I had a rat in my apartment earlier this year and they did not even call a exterminator, they called maintenance who put down sticky traps and that did not work. In the meantime the rat snacked on everything he could get his paws on. The management likes to collect money and when you have a serious problem with your apartment and roommates the only thing they can suggest is moving to another apartment ... read more
DO NOT LIVE HERE!! I do NOT reccomend living in Pirates Cove unless you're strapped for cash. You pretty much get what you pay for. It's dirty and you would think they would want to do something about the BUGS! I know they're water bugs but they look like roaches!!! And they're HUGE!! Their not only all outside but they get in your apartment too! It's discusting. You get what you pay... If you're strapped for cash, then Pirate's Cove is a good price. But what you pay is what you get. First of all, because rent is so cheap, you get a lot of sketchy tenants. We're kept up by ridiculously loud base at three in the morning, there are always people yelling and being obnoxious outside in the courtyards and hallways, and there is a lot of crime. Pirates Cove Apartments I have lived here (pirate's cove) for about 5 months now and I don't think it's quite as bad as that one comment. I haven't witnessed or experienced any violent acts. I think it's very convenient and it's a fun place to live.
Pirates Cove The price is good.... especially for students that have to pay their own rent and go to school also. And as far as the comment goes about the crime... that is absurd. Don't put yourself in those situations.... simple as that. Everywhere you go... there is a chance of something happening especially in larger cities. Don't go outside by yourself after dark, have someone walk in with you if your coming in by yourself.
