John Gilday... worst manager ever. After booking our sites together, paying in full in advance, guaranteed we would be together, calling to confirm we would be together... guess what. We are not!!! And he says it is our fault. Awesome customer service

My family and I chose Pirateland Camping for a short 3 day adventure. From booking the reservations to our departure was a great experience. First, Jerry, our reservation assistant was awesome! She was friendly, kind and gave great suggestions. The neighbors we awesome! (I understand that can vary). We were three spaces from the beach which was nice. This is a facility you don't ever have to leave. The kids love to go to the beach in the morning, stop for lunch and then head to the pool area. Dinner and then a ride around the park in the golf cart to visit with as many ducks and geese as possible. Evening walks on the beach and a visit to the Arcade for some wonderful Ice cream and gaming. The camp store is loaded with goodies and the people here are very nice. Pirateland camping resort is not biker friendly. They will not allow you to take your motorcycle to your camp site. The employees are very ignorant when you talk to them. The campground manager has a I don't care if you have a issue attitude. Would not recommend this campground to anyone

The kids and I really loved staying there. The only complaint is that they aren't exactly tent friendly. The water and electric is set up for rv's. I had to rent an outlet converter from them and the water spigot was pointing straight up in the air. It was impossible to use and we had to make runs to the bathroom for our water needs. There were no campfire rings or grills! The pool and splash pool area is amazing! The staff is friendly and helpful.

I've been coming here with my family for at least 20 years,we love it!!!You won't find a more peaceful,fun,family friendly campground anywhere else in Myrtle Beach

We have stayed at all of the campgrounds in this area and my family's pick is pirateland, ,,had to stay at ocean lakes one time,,left after 2 nights,,,,told the man if pirateland had a site and he would refund my money I was gone,,,,as luck had it pirateland did have a site,,,lol,,packed and left ocean lakes within the hour,,,lol,,didn't even hook the tow bars to the camper,,,had a great time,,everyone is so friendly and go out of their way to help you get set up,,,,
