History Established in 2014. We opened our doors September 12, 2014 in a storefront that once was the local butcher shop in the 1880's. Meet the Business Owner JoEllen D. Business Owner After being in the coffee industry since 2002, working for Intelligentsia (Chicago) and Blue Bottle (Bay Area and NY), I was able to manifest Pinhole Coffee w/ a lot of help from my family and friends. It's been an honor to be a part of Pinhole Coffee's buildout crew and I'm already missing 231 Cortland Ave. as my office for the last week, as I attempted to try and finish a mural on the east wall (special thanks to JoEllen and Magnolia for helping!). Not only is JoEllen my youngest sister, she has matured into an amazing human being and it's so easy to see why all the people involved on the project love her so much.
