very frustrating salon experience – i have a lot of hair so to highlight is time consuming. new to philadelphia and they gave me marlene. she was great but didn't really have the patience to take the time my hair takes. did large, bold clumps. we were ALWAYS interrupted with brides or questions. nice woman but clearly too busy. soooo, they gave me to james upstairs. also nice person, enough waiting space but he did an all over color that i kept saying was too "red". he said that it wasn't. my last appt. was after i heard ano... read more

Go see Mia!!!! – I went to Pileggi On The Square and got my hair done by Mia! The salon is beautiful and cozy! I got a touch up and highlights - awesome! Mia gave me the most beautiful color I have had in a long time! The salon I have been going to couldn't see me and I made an appointment with Mia - I got in right away! I had some issues with my color and she took her time to talk to me and listen to exactly what I wanted to do with my color and cut . She is the sweetest girl! Excellent choice for a FANTASTIC CUT! – My stylist was Daniel. He introduced himself , very polite and listened to what I wanted. He gave me a consultation regarding the shape of my face texture of my hair. I brought in a picture of the style I wanted and he matched it perfectly. It was a pixie cut that looks fabulous! My husband loves it and I get compliments all the time. Can't wait to go back...if you want an expert cut go to Daniel you wont regret it.
DONT GO HERE IF YOU DONT WANT A COOKIE CUTTER HAIRCUT – This salon is the most boring salon in the city. As soon as you walk in the staff looks you up and down as if you are intruding on their space. Everyone who works there is incredibly snobby. There is not a single creative hair cut being done, all the stylists know how to do is boring cookie cutter hair cuts and color. Nooooo Marlene!!!! – Do NOT get your hair colored by Marlene - she burned my hair - it took a year for another salon to fix it (had to get 6 inches cut off) and Marlene tried to blame me for the damage she did to my hair. In 25 years, I've never had my hair damaged until I made the mistake of letting Marlene touch my hair.
Wonderful Place in the Washington Square District – Pileggi boasts the services of Daniel Iannelli, the artist of cut and color. He has done my hair for well over 20 years by now. I have followed him from salon to salon. If he went to do hair at the base of an active volcano, I would follow him there, too! The rest of the Pileggi people are also wonderful, very professional, but warm at the same time. I recommend Pileggi and Daniel to anyone who wants the absolute best in hair styling.
Not worth the money – Tried more than once. Prices are not commesurate with worth. Charge high end prices for, at best ,mediocre hair cuts. Stay away from early morning appontments, staff is resentful of making them get out of bed before 10 am, I've had it with the phoney "can do" atttitude. Does not matter how photos you show them they just repeat the same cookie cutter haircut. Don't ever rely on them for a special event.
Go to Daniel! Amazing and Innovative – I'm a college student - and while getting a cut at Pileggi can be pricey - it is totally worth it. I always leave happy. Daniel really understands hair. I trust him to do whatever he wants and it always looks great, and even better, continues to look great as it grows out. He has a product he's made called Natural Glisten.
