Being at the top of the mountain is incredible! The drive up is wonderful. however, I really recommend taking the cog railway, it's wonderful. I've been up the mountain many times and I see it daily as I live in Colorado Springs. Purple mountains majesty!

Absolutely amazing and crazy beautiful. I believe I enjoyed this place much better than Rocky Mountain National Park (though, I loved that park very much). Once above the timberline, it is another world. The rocks. The boulders, The cliffs. The winding highway. The mountains. The whole place is a wild and surreal playground for adults.
