Really enjoy Pike's Peak. Although I've heard some people complain about how "commercialized" the summit is, to my daughter and me it was a welcome haven after finishing the 13 mile Barr Trail hike. We did it in one day and arrived just after 2pm on the summit. This time we just grabbed drinks and fries, but in the past we've enjoyed the donuts. A 14k summit is a truly unique experience and Pike's is always a fun place to hang out, take in the amazing views, then head down for some casual fun in Manitou Springs. Love this pl... read more
The most beautiful mountain in the world. I have hiked in the Swiss Alps and Mount Fuji. Our U.S.A. Rocky Mountain Rules over all. The drive up this mountain is also the best experience in the world. It is where the Eagles fly and it is all about the drive up.
