Dr Stokes is a caring and brilliant surgeon. I had a bad "total knee replacement" done by Sports Medicine South (Dr. Gary Levengood". I ended up with a horrible MRSA infection at the surgical site. Dr. Stokes, over many months, was able to save my leg. It took 2 years for me to fully recover, but I walk today....and that's a direct result of the care I received by Dr. Stokes and ALL his staff! I can't thank them/him enough!!
I came to this office to get a second opinion on my shoulder after my original ortho doctor and his team gave me an unpleasant experience (different ortho group). Visited this office because I had 3 referrals to visit this office and specifically Dr stokes! From my neurosurgeon, my friend who is a nurse, and my physical therapist. Highly recommend! I had shoulder replacement surgery in January of 2022. I went to see the Dr. 6 months out of surgery, told him my shoulder kept popping out, his PA said the only way to repair this is to have surgery again, not a good option. It’s been three years since the surgery and I still have a striking pain if I move in the wrong direction, again not good. I rarely write reviews but felt this one necessary, I’m soon to be 71 and the thought of doing another surgery as well as PT is the last thing I want to do but after seeing another ... read more
