New to this facility. First time calling for an appointment. Receptionist was rude. We will find another pediatrician. Hope no one else experience her.
We were patients of Dr. Glasgow for years until he retired. So then there was a desperate scramble for a pediatrician office when he retired. We have visited Vestavia pediatrics maybe twice in the last maybe two years, and I have no complaints about the doctors. However, on my last visit we were told by Dr. Simpson that we need a referral to another specialist and that he would have his referral person set up the referral for me and contact me with details. well the big thing is getting the child's and mothers correct information on paperwork. 4 times I have needed to get medical assistance for my child and all 4 times they had another's information with my phone number. this is ridiculous.
My daughter went in for a sick child visit. Dr.Simpson dismissed my child’s complaints about her pain, ignored the blood in her urine, and the high white blood cell count. Actually telling her “ you can’t be in that much pain”. Just hours after that visit we were in the ER. After doing urine & blood... the same that Dr. Simpson did she was admitted into the special monitoring unit. After being there for a few hours , her blood pressure dropped to 50/40 & she was moved to ICU. After having a 3 week hospital stay she had surge... read more

RecommendedPeds East is very responsive to our needs as far as scheduling appointments or adding refills to medications. They accommodate the individual well even though they are a pretty big practice.
RecommendedMy daughter had a severe staph infection and we had to be admitted for a couple days To have surgery ( put a drain in) , the whole staff was super sweet ! All her nurses & medical team were amazing ! Definitely recommend ❤️
Dr Allen is great with my boys but I’ve called twice today for medical advice for my sick kid and once never got a return call and secondly I called was told to hold on and got hung up on!
