I took my otherwise healthy 6 year old in for an exam because of occasional sleep apnea and snoring. the doctor didn't even look at the paperwork I filled out. took one look in her mouth. (her throat isn't red or sore or anything at this time) he said "her tonsils look pretty big, I recommend surgery. " They had me sign paperwork for the surgery before we left. so we could just call back to schedule the surgery. As if it's just what you do... I'm glad I said I needed to discuss it with my husband first!
RecommendedMy Doctor and his colleagues in Family Practice affiliated with PCI a couple years ago. Other than the closing of 2nd Ave. East at 10th Street SE, it is a great facility serving the Cedar Rapids Medquarter with a variety of specialies.
Dr. Carpenter was excellent... would definately recommend him.
Absolutely awful. I was “treated” by a neurologist who wouldn’t listen to me or my concerns. Didn’t believe the hospital paperwork from my EEG because it wasn’t from her office, and literally sent us home. I’m having seizures everyday and she was unbelievably distressing to me. If I could rate negative 10 I would. No wonder there are openings for her, she’s the worse I’ve ever seen.
Dr. G. was way behind from cancelling eye surgeries 4 weeks in a row. By the time He was ready for us, we were herded like Cattle. No beds, Nurses trying to play catch up. Took Way too long for others who drove from out of town, only to be told Come back maybe next week!? He only does Friday Cataracts, so does it like Assembly line & people deserve Better. All because he wants Fridays Off. Family Emergency 4 weeks in a row.. BS, I say! Mine done at Wolfe Eye, no problems.. PCI in it for $$$.
I am disappointed that I was removed from Dr. Cearlock‘s practice with no notification and unable to use family medicine at all there at PCI. I’m also disappointed but there is no opportunity to move to another doctor there within the family medicine practice. Without a primary doctor within the PCI practice I’m wondering if I should move the rest of my doctors out to another practice that can support me.

Just went with a family member to podiatrist Dr Michelle Dole and all 3 of us came away with the same feelings of confidence, appreciation and thankfulness to have found her! She’s a gem!
I am having chemo at PCI and could not be in better hands. Great atmosphere and all are so caring. Thank You!!
