Though not as large as the Sky Harbor International Airport, the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport functions as a regional airport for those who want to fly on a budget airline. Formerly known as Williams Gateway Airport, it is definitely convenient for residents of the East Valley as well. The only airline that services Gateway is Allegiant Airlines, but it has several low-cost routes around the country. Additionally, the airport has a few car rental companies located in the main terminal.

RecommendedWaiting for our flight at 4:00 pm and sitting on the Copper Place patio, soaking up the last bit of sunshine we can before takeoff. Don’t know anywhere else that you can go through security and then sit outside in the courtyard!!
It would be fine if you had some familiarity with it as the layout and signage is not the best. It was easy in and out.
Alligent email said to be 3 hours early. We were 2.5 hours early and the TSA doors don't open until 4:30 AM and our flight leaves at 6:30 AM. So we had to sit outside until the doors opened, and then it was a mad dash to get through TSA. Not impressed.
Don't really know yet, as tomorrow will be the first time I fly out of Mesa/Gateway on Allegiant. Looking at some of the posts here (all made in 2016), I certainly hope that things have improved in the last year!!!!

Citing Uber drivers for dropping off passengers is ridiculous. Find a new business model that doesn't involve making your customers hate you.
