Though not as large as the Sky Harbor International Airport, the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport functions as a regional airport for those who want to fly on a budget airline. Formerly known as Williams Gateway Airport, it is definitely convenient for residents of the East Valley as well. The only airline that services Gateway is Allegiant Airlines, but it has several low-cost routes around the country. Additionally, the airport has a few car rental companies located in the main terminal.

Allegiant Airlines employees, Williamsfield Gateway airport employees, including TSA Agents, leave a lot to be desired as far as Customer Courtesy and Service is concerned. Rude, condescending, unhelpful, etc. I stood at the boarding gate and stared out the window at the plane I was prevented from boarding, door to the passenger cabin wide OPEN, employees outside chatting, female cop shouting that I need to rebook, to leave the area, no they could not call the gate from TSA X-ray scan area to inform that two passengers had y... read more
Been waiting for luggage for an hour. This happens all of the time. Thinking long and hard about flying into sky harbor. This one is so close but inconvenient.

Baggage claim takes FOREVER. Have been waiting over an hour so far. They must have 1 grounds crew - and 4 planes to unload. Ridiculous.

RecommendedI love this small airport, and the flights connect direct to the small airport I fly out of from near home in the midwest. Greatly convenient and easy to get around in.
Fast and courteous tsa Alligiant gate attendant very good at his job.
Great airport. Suggest fixing the big potholes in the cell phone lot! Perhaps more people would use it rather than clogging the arrival departure route! 😊👍
