Though not as large as the Sky Harbor International Airport, the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport functions as a regional airport for those who want to fly on a budget airline. Formerly known as Williams Gateway Airport, it is definitely convenient for residents of the East Valley as well. The only airline that services Gateway is Allegiant Airlines, but it has several low-cost routes around the country. Additionally, the airport has a few car rental companies located in the main terminal.

We have flying through allegiant for five years and I don't know why we keep coming back. This is our last year we will ever be back. We have such a terrible experience.
The airport is fine! Was close to where we were staying and was easy to navigate! What was horrible was Allegiant's service. On the way there a broken "start valve" so an hour wait luckily we made up 20 minutes or so in the air! Then on the way back yesterday....a plane change not once but twice! Third planes a charm! Not sure what was wrong with first plane, but 2nd plane had a broken door! Sounds like they are always having maintenance problems and delays! The employees inside the airport were very helpful! I liked it I never flown before I thought it was fast and relaxing
It was a pleasant experience but in 2017 not having charging stations in the waiting area is the only reason I didn't give it a 5.
Everyone including Allegiant, National Car and TSA are very polite. Small airport is so much easier than Skyharbor.
I found the staff very friendly. Flying in was great. In the airport out to the car and gone in 15 mins. Was a little odd to go into the one terminal then to the other. But all have to do is read signs and find it. West jet staff were great. I hope they keep it going will always fly into Mesa.
It's great unless u fly I'n an a fog bank decides to fly n the at the same time an u mess ur connect!!!! But over all love this airport.
