Dr. Ludkowski is an excellent surgeon with a wonderful and caring staff. I had a hip replacement in Sept.’21 and the other in June’22. Both surgeries went extremely well without any problems. After 4-5 weeks I was walking without aids. I was amazed how smooth the whole experience went. Certainly has my recommendation!
All I can say is that Dr. Ludkowski and team are wonderful. I had a hip replaced and it went so well and recovery was so smooth so much more than my previous hip replacement. It's been 7 weeks and I am almost fully back to normal. Thank you to Dr. Ludkowski and the Illinois Bone and Joint Institute staff and PTs for all you do!!
Dr. Lukowski has replaced both of my mothers hips and one of her knees. He has our absolute trust!

Dr. Ludkoski is very knowledgeable, has great bedside manners, listens to patients, and was excellent in performing my partial knee replacement!
Excellent physician who takes time with his patients. He has replaced both my knees this year (one in March, the other in December) and I have been pleased both times. Since he spends time with each patient, he often runs late. Don't let this deter you as he will spend as much time as you need to answer questions and explain procedures.
I have had many knee surgeries for several different reasons/accidents. When I realized I needed a knee replacement, I wanted to find someone who could navigate all the past scars and issues my knee already had. Dr. Ludkowski was the guy. He is knowledgeable, respected, kind and great at what he does!!!! He took into account all the ways my knee was unusual, as well as respected my personal needs and concerns. I had my right knee replaced on September 1st and everything went great. Dr. Ludkowski discussed the entire process and paid attention to all of my specific needs, concerns and preferences. Recovery was swift. Pain was tolerable and I was able to minimize the use of Opiods. I have been taking advantage of outpatient physical therapy at IBJI with exceptional results. I would highly recommend Dr. Ludkowski. He recently performed a total knee replacement on me, and I’m ever so happy and grateful. The care I received pre and post op has been exceptional. Dr. Ludkowski welcomes questions and concerns of his patients. His bedside manner is kind and gentle.
