The best physician that I have ever been to see.
Now I see the reason for the negative posts. I walked into their office to see if they accept my insurance. A lady behind the counter snapped, "Sign in". I said that I only had a few questions. I needed a few minutes to get a feel for how they administer treatment for lumbar pain. The lady said, "we are too busy for questions" without any suggestions for how to get answers. It makes my choice easier to eliminate them from my business.
If I could I would give 0 stars. When I seen Dr Phelps he was very unprofessional, downgrading me, making assumptions. He even told me I wouldn't fit in a mri. Yes I'm a plus size woman but there were bigger patients in there than myself.I am grateful that my pcp set me up with. S different dr that actually cared about hid patients. Dr Phelps even told me I need to change my lifestyle. What in the world. He doesn't know me. I don't drink I don't do drugs I don't even like prescription medications. Dr. Jeff Phelphs and Dr.Joshua Hay, staff and nurses are most friendly, knowledgeable, supportive and thorough in addressing the patient's needs! I have been checked with accuracy as to my chronic back problem and have been given the right course of action each time. The Injection epidural treatments I have been given over a five year time span have been life savers! I highly recommend Spine Works Institute to anyone needing excellent orthopedic care and surgical procedures!
In April 2021 I was admitted to the hospital through the ER for numbness from the waist down. I could barely walk, and I had to use a walker. Dr. Phelps was my pain management doctor, but he is also a spinal surgeon. He admitted me to the hospital and began my treatment but told me “Surgery wouldn’t work” for my condition. I was sent home after 5 days in the hospital and Dr. Phelps told to see my neurologist “whenever I could”.
