Food was excellent. I do not drink but enjoyed the natural Cola and my husband loved the testers.
This is a beautiful brewery with fun and friendly staff. The food was super delicious and I love, love the beer. A must for anyone in stopping in Hood River.

We enjoyed a great family dinner here last night. Good food (kids mac & cheese!), atmosphere, and service. We went here among other places in Hood River, because we know they support our elementary school auction. My kids loved that their root beer (Virgil's) was served in "grown up bottles" - nice touch! The atmosphere is great, the location is great, the drinks are probably great (didn't drink beer, but a friend bought a bunch, so....). Unfortunately, the food that my daughter and I had was less than impressive. I had the Steak Frites, and the pieces of steak were bland, the fries were exceptionally greasy, and the sauce didn't have much flavor. Walked in. All tables were empty yet the 10 seat bar was full. Sat down and told by the hostess that all tables were for food only. I could order a beer but I had to go upstairs to the lounge or go outside. F this place.
Without a doubt the best brew in the Hood! Photos do not do it justice.
Come for the beer, not the food. The beer is fantastic, some of the best we have tried. Really tasty. We love the Belgian ales. The food is meh and takes forever. Done eating there after a couple tries and complete disappointment. The veggie burger wasn't bad, liked the spicy sauce. Didn't like waiting nearly an hour for it after waiting an hour for a seat. The "salad" was a joke. It was basically a handful of lettuce, not a crouton or shaved carrot to be had. But beer is seriously awesome, just skip the food.
