Excellent beer and pretty good food. Our server was friendly and prompt. The white IPA took the day, although I enjoyed all 6 of the beers (two Belgians, the Kolsch, pilsner and Wit) VERY much. This is a Mecca for beer heads. For food, we had the mussels and frites (frites excellent, mussel broth not bad, a little bland for my taste), smoked salmon chowder (not bad, but this was brothy and I prefer a thicker chowder) and pastrami burger ( cooked medium rare as we requested.) Delicious food, great selection of beer, wonderful waitstaff, close to the water. What more could you ask for?
Traveling through on a conference, a local recommended it. Skepitcak initially but within a few minutes I was impressed. Without a with word knowing I prefer wine, the bartender gave me a beer that was stored in French oak. I loved it! Then the chef made me a grilled duck confi with garlic aioli sauce on top of a burger. Absolutely amazing !! When I get to the Portland again I definitely will make an effort just to this brewery. Sad that it's across the country from me :(
Great beer and cider, great food, and great service. It's got a very funky vibe and the decor is fun!
