Today we found out that my 16 yrs old pitbull has bone cancer. We called and ask if they had any beds on sale. But my mom talked to the manager Emily and she basically gave Elektra ( that's my pits name) an orthopedic bed. She and the cashier showed nothing but compassion for her and us in this time of hardship. Thank you petsmart for everything. We truly appreciate it. �

I was very disappointed in the Santa photo event today. The event was supposed to begin at 12. After waiting in line, we left at 12:25 when Santa still hadn't shown up and nobody seemed to know where he was. I asked to speak with a manager and was told they didn't know where they were. We left, drove 10 minutes up the road to Petco and walked right in for photos. They asked for a donation for homeless pets, which I was glad to give. I guess you really do get what you pay for.
May i add i go here to buy dog food at least once a month. I have always been disrespected by the big barly man Manager. I cannot by the life of me remember his name. I found out today he got fired and no longer works their. However, the individual today that helped me was extremely helpful and professional. He answered my questions w/out cocking an attitude like the previous manager did. So i truly appreciate him (Josh). He was extremely helpful. I really dislike writing negative reviews, but Petsmart earned it. We purchased a tortoise from the Augusta location and we bought all of the materials that go in the habitat at the same time as the pet. It acted sluggish since we had it (thought that was normal) but we finally took it to the vet, and the vet said it was sick and had worms in less in than 20 days from the purchase. Me and my mom took my chihuahua/ Dachshund here today to get her nails done , she is a handful but I've never had a problem with them being rough with her before . But today my mom was watching the lady who is suppose to be a "veteran " there and they know my dog has a bad back leg but yet they still grabbed her paw and twisted it not once but twice . And when my mom confronted her all she could say was OH . And I put in a complaint at the register. I WILL NEVER TAKE MY DOG BACK TO THAT AWFUL PLACE !!!!
We made a 3:00 Saturday appointment 2 weeks in advance and we get there and we're told that our appointment is at 5. After arguing that we had a 3:00 appt they basically tell us that we can leave our dog there but she might not be done until 8:00!! They pretty much said take it or leave it so we left!!
I am a fellow employee of petsmart. An i recommend this store to all pet lovers.
